My mum seems pretty classic, but she sometimes drifted in the college car park when she picked us up after school.

いつも健康を気遣ってくれる母。今でも届くと、その色を眺めながらありがたくいただいています。

My mum loved hiking in the Alps. Her favourite flower in the mountains was the silver thistle. They shine beautifully in the mountain meadows and their thorns protect them. My mum was always the anchor of the family - she held everything together: the family, the business and the friends.

And yet she never let anyone get close to her, just like the silver thistle.

I could draw a comparison between my mother and myself as two distinct yet harmonizing seasons.

We represent unique yet complementary aspects, akin to two colors blending to create a harmonious palette. Despite our differences, our collaboration yields unity, mirroring the attraction of contrasting worlds.

A tangible symbol of our bond is a ring gifted to me on the day of my graduation, embodying our shared essence within a singular entity.

This morning, as I was preparing breakfast, I was reminded of a story about my mother.

Pregnant with me, Simonetta would only drink orange juice. She would save the coloured paper that wrapped the fruit, flatten it well and then, rolled into a cylinder, she would burn the top. When the fire reached the bottom, these shapes would rise into the air, small flickering bright flames....

I imagine her like this, caught up in the wonder of this little magic and a bigger one that was about to come.

My mother had me when she was nineteen! So we have very little difference and most people think we are sisters. In addition, she is very beautiful and has many talents. Her maiden name is Virginie Soloviere and she is the daughter of Jacques Soloviere, my grandfather who is the inspiration for my brand and my shoes.

My mother decorates her apartments herself, and she has an incredible, natural taste. In the attached photo some objects from my childhood that followed us in all the moves.

As children, our father, a keen ornithologist, and our mother, a florist, would take us out on long hikes through the countryside, discovering different leaves and plants and collecting stones. The melancholy and poetic nature of the British countryside stays inside anyone who has grown up in a rural area as a child.

She never went to the hairdresser’s like the other mums. My sister and I used to cut her hair, and she let it go grey.

I was gifted this diamond ring by my mother when I was twenty years old. We are officially recognised as adults after turning twenty years old in Japan and cerebrate it on Coming of Age Day.
